Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) New member- bombing

Great site! I've already picked up tons of info.

I plan on adding an edge comp, 4" exhaust, and DD2 injectors.

I,m not yet sure how my signiture reads as I am just has new to the Internet as I am this site. That said here is my truck so far:



2001 Quad, long bed, 4x4, 5-speed, camp package, 241hd, 3:55's, 285 open countrys, reunel w/warn 12000#, autometer pro-comp fuel press, e. g. t. , and boost. hx-35, k&n, snorkel removed and box opened by adding 12 sq inches of openings to both sides. no bombing yet, stock 235/460. Boost at wot 20 p. s. i.



On my last vacation towing the trailer I tipped the scales at 16,200#.



What else would I need to do if I make the above mods? (besides taking out a loan)

Great start.

You are doing it right. Everything sounds good, you will need a clutch after you put in the DD2's and a comp. Southbend is a good choice. Just keep reading and you will be able to decide what is next on your own.

You are on your way. You must come up with good stories for your better half. Justify another 6K on a perfectly good new truck that is under warranty and now the warranty will be voided with what your are doing? Your choice, my choice and everyone else on this website that has BOMBED their truck. To each his own. I am going ahead as money allows, and having fun all the way.
