I took delivery of my new Gen III yesterday. I ordered it on 01/28/06 and was growing more impatient each day. So far I've only driven it about 330 miles from dealer home but am already impressed and pleased with options choices. First impressions: The common rail ISB is as quiet as a gasoline engine at highway speed and I like the 48RE/4. 10 combination. I do notice the infamous loose torque convertor but may decide to solve that after the transmission warranty expires. The frame and suspension feel more refined than the previous truck. The interior feels cavernous by comparison.

Now to install the Jacobs Exhaust Brake, 5th wheel rails, 7 pin receptacle in the bed, and a huge pile of accessories from Genos that were ordered a couple months ago. I've got unopened boxes filled with gauges, floor mats, window vent covers, CB mount, MagHytec transmission and differential pans, filter kit, and more.

Sounds like christmas in April :D Oo. Congratulations and post some pictures

In some respects, I still miss my 01'. To me, the bright white on my 01' mixed with the black what just an awesome combo. On the other hand, the extra room in my 04. 5 just can't be beat!!

They 3Gs are very nice and refined trucks. Certainly liked the 04. Figure I'll be looking for an 06 Cab&Chassis DRW. -- in about five to ten years :)

Yeah, it is very similar to Christmas. A stack of credit card receipts to prove it.

To me, high tech is using a computer keyboard. I'm real skilled with flashlights and crescent wrenches. I have had it explained to me numerous times but I must be getting too old and too stupid to remember how to post pictures on the website. It's just another white Ram 3500 with wide hips.
