New Member with '05, ABS light came on?

I'm a new member, my '05 with 57k, just had the abs light come on. Does this really mean that my abs is kapoot? If so how much will this set me back? Does anyone know?

it could be just a wheel sensor, i believe a scan tool can help you locate it.



maybe someone else can chime in and tell you for sure.

Based on experience around here it's probably just a wheel sensor with some crud in it. You might start there by removing the ones on the front and cleaning, then reinstalling. The rear uses a single sensor mounted on the differential case.

not to say that you were... but my ABS light comes on when i used to do burnouts... .

try disconnecting the battery for about 10min then see if on the next startup it comes on...



im not sure if on the 05 you can cycle the key 3 times and codes will show up, but maybe an exact code will come up...
