New member with a 79 Ford-Cummins

Just saying Hi, and that I am new to this site. I daily drive a stroke but my toy is a 79 Ford F-350 that I put a cummins in. Running a 4R100 in it with a 3 disk suncoast, trasgo shift kit. 370 injectors 4k gov spring, 16cm housing on hx35, #4 all the way ahead, motor has the 160 pump, 191 dv. I shimmed up the over flow so I could hold my fuel pressure better, and un-hooked my lift pump and put my stock superduty pump on it. Seems to hold fuel pressure better, 40 psi idle, pulls down to 20 psi wot. My goal is the 500 mark, and I am at 338 right now (dont know if poss with 160 pump). So I am looking for some advice, on how to get there. Thanks you guys have a nice site.

Welcome, I am from Traverse City Mi and I think I saw this truck once on Big Rapids on Nov 18. Is there some green in the truck? If not who ever this was had a nice truck.

Yeah it has some green on it. Gray and green two tone cab, and nice primer colored box, my buddy has been driving it in Big Rapids cause he sold his vechicle and hasnt got one yet. I would like to get the box painted but, performance is a little more important right now.

I like that line of thinking. You will need a bigger turbo thats for sure, im thinking maybe a Industrial Injection Phat Shaft 64 or 66, some one smarter will be able to tell you better.

Are you not Cental Michigan Performance Diesel?
