I know, Joe. If we keep this up, people in the other states might start to think we actually like our trucks!

Who knows, maybe people in other states will even admit we're part of the USA!

Hey tanner, I was driving on I-25 headed to Belen a while back (way back) and a mid 80s chevy crew with a tow bed (i think) blew my doors off! As it motored by I heard the signature Cummins sound. It was cool. That you?

Hey Wicked, yeah we had to get a CTD to tow that teardrop trailer. I built it too heavy! Nah, I sold that too some time ago. Might be the only hobby project that I ever made money on. It was like the 41 Chevy hotrod, cute but useless and taking up room/money.

I installed the ATS exhaust manifold this afternoon and put the thermocouple in place. R&R-ing an exhaust manifold on your CTD is NOT something you want to do "just b'cuz". I managed to do it start-to-finish in 3 hours including going shopping for a long-handled 15mm wrench, and a 15 mm wobbly socket. Those manifold to turbo bolts were TIGHT, and hard to get a straight shot at. That had me a little worried right off the start, but the increased torque from the longer wrench did the trick.

The ATS is a major improvement over the stock 03 manifold. The 4&5 cylinder passages are very restrictive on the stocker. No noticable change in sound or power but hopefully some help in managing EGTs.

Everybody take care

I think next week might be good for me to Luis. I need to set a date up to have some warranty work done to the Wildcat and am hoping they can do it next week. Planning a trip to Denver April 20 & want to have repairs done before that trip. This will be the first time pulling with the guages.

Pick a Date Jeff. Tuesdays and thursdays are best for me, preferably tuesdays though.

Warren, I bet that was Johnny Hawks you saw. He has three chevy's with cummins. One is a short bed 4-door 4x4 with 35's, the other is a long bed 2wd dually with a flat bed 4-door, and the other is a longbed 2wd dually 4-door with a bed. all three are white. He lives in LL about 2 miles from me.

At one time they all 3 had "Johnnys dirty Work" on the door, his business.

I would guess that it was me if it was valentines day we were moving fast going to and coming back from hooters. If it was green and looked really low I garentee it was me. Guess Johnny and I need to meet some time see how we conquered different issues. Yeah mines really loud right now because i still don't have any exhaust at all just a 36" downpipe and that's it. Next week might work for me. The truck completely rewiring it this week to get rid of some of the uneccessary stuff.

Yeah, I'm talking almost a year ago or so. The chev was two tone red, like red and dark red. It had an exhaust system and was pretty well decked out.

I will meet you guys for lunch if schedule permits. Bob's?

lunch will definitely have to be next week, things is crazy over in my world, but supposedly the "war" ends sunday, so back to regular 9-5 monday. let me know!

yeah I moved here in january definately wasn't here a year ago. Mine's dark green (with a primered bed now) and sits really low (frame is 3" off the ground) It's pretty unique looking. Also it has a big fuel cell set into a hole cut in the bed. Trust me if you've seen it you'd know. Not the prettiest truck but it works. Next week will work for me just let me know

**Who knows, maybe people in other states will even admit we're part of the USA!**

Here's a true story:

Several years ago I tried to make a reservation at Motel 6 using the 800 number, for the time of the Auge's show. The reservation clerk INSISTED that I call international reservations, even after I informed her that NEW Mexico was in the USA.

Yeah, Ive been trying to get Johnny to join TDR, but he doesnt seem intersted.

Which Bea's, Joe, the old or the new??? You mean the one behind Griffs, right?

Bea's is great. I'll try to meet you all. BTW... that doesn't involve any border crossings does it? Here's my NM story. I was placing a phone order for parts a few years ago. Got all done ordering, but when giving my shipping address the girl said, "oh I'm sorry, I don't think we can sell to other countries. "

Hey Wagn, I got a little irked by a post in that thread on the Towing and Hauling forum. If I "took a tone" in my reply it certainly wasn't directed at you. I felt like the other guy wanted to start a "my hitch can beat up your hitch" thing. sorry.

Warren

No problem Warren. Some of the guys here just dont know when to quit, do they?

So anybody decide a day/time for lunch?

-Jeff

I'm talking about Bea's-2 on Zuni, one block S of Central, one block W of Wyoming. I braved the snow today to go there; I'm up for lunch about any day :D

11 Am would be good as they get kinda crowded by noon.

Sounds good to me, Joe.

I'll meet you there tomorrow at 11:00 if you want to. And if anybody else wants to come, your welcome to.
