I'm anxious to hear what you think about the TST versus the EZ. I have a mind to get a TST PMCR but it's down pretty far on the want/need list. Monday night eh?

When's next lunch?

Joe, does the Edge turbo have the right-angle outlet or do you have to adapt an elbo to make it work on a CTD?

I think I saw one on "two dorks garage" yesterday. They did a long segment on Edge juice/attitude on Sam's duramax... i thought he was a big CTD guy.

yea i cant wait to do the tst! it is going to be night and day compared to the ez i am sure. the ez was fun but adjustability up to 120hp is gunna be sweet! especially now that i have a transmission that will hold up! yea i have everything, and the "grabber" injection pump piercer thing is at the post office, (why cant they be open 24 hours??) so tomorrow night!! cant wait to hear how you like that turbo joe, i have been reading about that jr lil 55. sounds interesting!

I think it sounds a little pricey for what it is.

did you do the TST yet????????

Werent those tires like brand new???? so now that he's doin 315's, you can hang with him!!!! :-laf

Warren, the Edge turbo comes clocked for 3rd gens as they would be hard to re-clock on installation. It is easy to clock them for 2nd gen, however while installing (good accessibility on the truck) so the default on mfg was 3rd gen clocking, as supplied. Yes you need a special 3rd gen right angle elbow, and DD is getting them cast and machined. They used to make them up from an oddball Cummins application, cut and weld them to get the correct angle (like mine has been). DD should have the complete 3rd gen kits now or soon.

We could meet Thurs at Beas 2 on Zuni at 11AM if everyone wants to. . .

oohhhh thursday not lookin so good for me. well i did it!!! i am TSTed!! man does this puppy run!! it is nice to have my truck back! the only thing that i feel the need to address is the bottom end, it doesnt seem to be as responsive as i would like. possibly a trans commander for tc lock up would help? because when that tc locks up... gone! i was thinking a catcher ecm maybe as well, either way right now it is fun! i even got to run from the police on my first time out! :-laf it wasnt too serious and i am not positive that he was coming after me, but i didnt wait around to find out!

we are gunna have to run em argo!

the ez and the tst are on two different playing fields here! the ez seems to be more responsive at low end, and of course the tst would run circles around my ez. at wot i saw just a hair over 1000* and 35 psi, but one thing i am pretty dissapointed in is... NEXT TO NOTHING IN THE SMOKE DEPARTMENT!!! WHATS UP WITH THAT!!! :{ :{ :{

Oh yea the exhaust note changed drastically!! it sounds sweet!!!

So hmmm... what if a guy kept his EZ and stacked it with a new TST PMCR. You could run the EZ on say 2 for just a bit higher fuel rail pressure to go along with the modified timing and pulse duration curves of the TST. Sounds like fun. I wonder if that would fill in the gap in your bottom end performance? I wonder if it blow everything to smithereens? BTW, just where exactly is smithereens?

...come to think of it if anybody knows it's probably Luis! :-laf :-laf

ha ha!! that is the truth!!!! :-laf yea the guy that sold me the tst box offered me the adapter to stack my ez as well, and now i look back and wish i did it :( but oh well some infectors and a turbo will fill the gap. i love the way the truck pulls hard after about 1800 either way. on my way to work this morning at like 0530 (no traffic) i got the chance to semi test the box, there was a camaro rs that i messed with, let me tell you i blew his doors off!!!! i know he was a V-6 but it was nice to smoke him! oh yea speaking of that, anybody know why my ez blew more smoke than the tst????

I am down for Beas thrusday at 11:00. See ya there.

I would like all you to thank our new webmaster, Jeff Wolf. He has registered the domain www.nmtdr.com. He got it pretty cheap. Warren, we may need to discuss chapter membership now.

he has another personal site, www.partypatio.us check it out. he does good work!

Luis, trucks only smoke when they make real power.

Talk about smoke, I put my #10 back in. The 11 just didn't have enough power, now we're smokin!!! See ya at bee's. Oo.

Hope to see you all at Bea's. Yeah Jeff we can talk about collecting dues. I wonder if we'll lose anybody once we start that. Probably not eh? If we owe for a website we have to pay for it somehow. We'll set up a bank account and get down to business. Then at Bea's meetings I can start doing a treasurer's report. Yeah hey everybody! quiet down we're trying to have a meeting here! geez! :D

Hey I dragged home a 1950 Willys Jeepster yesterday. It's cool. Now I have to finish the 1951 Ford F-1 that's in my garage and get it sold.

See ya at Bea's

NICE! i can make beas!! see ya guys there at 11. ok now for my question... is this why i have no smoke?

However, the TST boxes are VERY sensitive to boost pressure, and THAT'S how they know how to fuel and what to respond to. The TST adds fuel based on 1) what boost it measures, and 2) how fast boost is changing (increasing). The more boost there is when you floor it, the more the TST will give you when you floor the pedal. The faster boost is increasing, the faster the TST will pour the fuel to the engine. Keep in mind that the TST box isn't responding the the pedal when you floor it (per se), it's responding the the boost changes caused when you floor the pedal. It's basically just "amplifying" the effect of flooring the pedal.

The TST responds to pulse width and increases it, using the pump wire tap. It does reduce added fueling in response to lack of boost.

Jeff, I can bring the flywheels, OK?

Yeah, Joe. that will work. thank you, Ive been swamped this week!!!

that sounds nice Warren. Are you gonna convert it to 4 wheel? My first truck was a 1956 Willys truck, 4-wheel with a braden pto winch. I still regret selling it. It had the Hurricane 6 in it, I believe.

((Gotta bump this up to the top))

Anyway, I'm trying to change the fluids on my truck (diff & x-fer case). No way I'm going to pay Melloy $180 for the diffs.

Anyway, I found Mobil Syn 75W-90 at Autozone/Pep Boys/etc. for about $9 a quart. Can't find ATF+4 anywhere. (Everyone says "go to Dodge")

What are you all using and where did you get it? Remember, I have the AAM's (not Dana's)
