hmmm i dunno whats up with that jammer. yea i did a few more runs, ended up with one that may have been pretty accurate, it said 14. 8 with 370hp and 975tq. i would like to duplicate the run though before i believe it, seeing as the numbers have been crazy. my 60' still sucks at like 2. 6 and stuff though

yeah, the torque will probably be a skewed number regardless cause it figures it based off engine rpm when I think it should be figured off wheel speed. Oh well.

anyways, yeah that sounds like a pretty close run. Remember though, the hp number is probably wrong. 1,000lbs (the diff from 7Klbs to 8Klbs) is like 60+hp.

but a 14. 8 sounds fairly close though. the poor 60footers is probably from launching in 2wd. My best 2wd 60 foot is like 2. 49 or something. I think I have ran a 2. 2 in 4wd, I forget now.

Welp - sorry to be off topic here. . Jeff, you were right, the serpentine belt tensioner was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper elsewhere. . The best price I found was at Autozone... $69, INCLUDING the pulley... !! CarQuest had 'em for like $130 w/pulley, $90 w/o & Checker / Napa / Pep Boys I believe were in the same price range. . If Autozone figures it out, their prices will jump soon. . Dealer was $200... !!! They (Melloy) did have the correct torque converter bolts, though - as well as the tensioner bolt. . (As it turns out, the tensioner bolt was tweaked a little, too. . )

The original tensioner on the my repower engine was damaged beyond use, so I nabbed this one from another engine that happened to be unsupervised at the time... . . . and it wasn't as usable as I thought... ! I should have suspected something - all the Dodge diesels he had were front end wrecks. .







Anyway, I guess I didn't "get away" with anything, well. . with the tensioner at least. . ! Shoulda dragged you to EP with me!!!!

The whole slippery slope thing REALLY concerns me with the TDi. . The clutch starts slipping around 150 HP (~250-300 ft-lbs??), or after you do injector tips and a performance chip... . . so you HAVE to upgrade to a VR6 or performance clutch, & well... you might as well do a timing belt when you're in there tearing sh*&t apart. . Hell, exhaust and a turbo wouldn't be a stretch either. . see how it goes. . ?? and forget about 40-50 mpg after that, too. .



. . basically a ~$3500 proposition when it's all said and done... !!



So, if someone picks on me on the street, I'll head home & grab the big, black Buick for a quick jaunt. . (to set things straight)... :-laf
