If it means that it will keep people from Cali out, "hell no" you can't drink the water... I have a bumper sticker that says "Welcome to Silver City, NOW GET OUT!!! My dad says that you can't even get around town for all the old people moving in and retiring there. Land prices have shot through the roof.

Hey, Jeff the first time I went to Sonic here I asked if they had chili here and they said sure, so I said I want a #1 Super sonic Bacon green chili cheese burger. "I GOT HORMEL" :{ I should have known better.

I did the same thing at a wendys in fountain hillz, AZ. I figured, hey, fountain hills isnt to awfully far from nm, and our wendys has green chile. so I ordered the #2 with green, the lady looked at me, turned around and walked away. I thought she got sick or something, I was like oh well. She comes back like three minutes later and says sir, none of the people in the back know what Green Chile is, all our chile is red. then it hit me... . yeah, no green chile in AZ.

Also, sopiapillas are a dessert in other states. served with whipped cream and stuff. Not with the meal.

Kinda odd... .

All this talk about green chili is killing me and I'm down to three zip lock baggies... One is being saved for my birthday, the other two are for a extreme chili break down. I can't wait to get back. I'd drive across texas for a bag of chili now...

And its chile season now too!! I love the smell everytime you drive by albertsons, walmart, sichlers, anywhere and smell green chile roasting...

mmmm mmmmm goood.

seen two cummins conversions yesterday, one a oj simpson bronco light blue. and a lifted 4 door long bed 70's cheby, was at a stop light and hear a rattle comiing up, look over and all i see is tire. :--) my truck isnt that short either, cab was black red bed. played a little all the way home on I25 till i got off the freeway and got a cummins salute, couple exhaust blips and smoke :D

His name is charles. It has a P-pumped 12V in it, I think a 160hp. it has a 5-speed I believe. I think its pretty much stock cept exhaust, a 16cm housing was mentioned by linc, and maybe a plate?

I think Linc also said they are putting a CTD in his bro's tahoe.

they live in belen...

Got the transmission fixed quite a while ago. Got a rebuilt 5600. Cant wait to see what they come up with to mate the new 6speed auto's to our trucks, I'm sure it will happen some day, maybe I'll be rich by then :-laf

LOTero you should have said you were going to be in town, we could have done lunch or something. I've been doing alot of flights (well same mission and airspace anyway) with the "Taco's" lately down here at White Sands and a bunch coming up in a week or so.

Just a victim of bad timing for the transmission to drop, I didnt have the time or money to do an auto conversion. I had to get it up and going quick.

Cool i didnt know you flew with us. . i will definitely look you up next time we are down there. . you would have seen that dark side of the tacos that weekend!

Anyone here have any get togethers? I just bought my truck and new to this site. Where the heck can I get TDR stickers/front plates?

Jeff, is there a place on the NM Chapter to advertise my Lance Slide-In-Camper. I've got it advertised on the Classified Ads on TDR, but I thought that maybe New Mexico exposure may be better. Thanks, george

Yup, we have a classified page on NMTDR. we actually have lots of members on there now, 55 or so. We are getting a lot of exposure over there now, usually 5-10 new posts per day at least.

Cbrahs, head on over to www.nmtdr.com. we have a local chapter, and are having a get together on this sunday at the drag strip. Supposed to have a bunch of guys from durango and stuff showing up as well.

11:00, albuquerque drag strip. Should be some 12 second trucks there, and probably a total of around 25 trucks or so... .
