i feel the same way about doing official runs at the track and all, and since your scared to run em down eubank that would be a better idea anyway :-laf

let me know when you wanna do the track thing again, i am ready, i am freakin so ready to go to the lake too! Oo.

I am afraid to race down eubank. Because I know I will hit 105 when you hit 60, then you will keep pulling and pass me and think you won!!!!

Yup, we went to the lake for the day two weeks ago. the water is up 29 feet. I got my lake truck running yesterday so it is almost ready to take down there.

I got a new camper (well, new to me) so now I am ready to go to the lake too!

Now all I need to do is find a new motor for the boat and De-winterize the jet ski and I am ready.

Hey Wagn,

Did I see you going south on I-25 toward the Butte on Saturday? I went down there to bring my old camper home. Need to detail it up and sell it. It's a great lake camper, but wife and kids like the new 5th wheel better. When it warms up all you NM TDR members are invited to stop by our camp on a lake weekend. Lots of food, suds, and fun!

I can't wait. Oo.

Yup, I was started down there, but then something came up and I didnt make it. I needed to go get the jet ski's to install the "mods" I have acquired for them. Instead I found out on the way down there that I inherited my grandpas Lance that he had just bought :) . so, I had to start unloading the old camper to sell it.

how was the water? It is supposedly up 29' I believe. We did have the 3rd wettest february in history this year. hopefully that helps.

I have a camper too, Luis, if your interested. Its a 8' slide in truck camper, cheeeeeaaaaapppp.

Lance eh? Wow, that's the best. Actually did not have time to go to the beach. It took longer than expected to pack the wheel bearings on the old camp trailer. We finished and headed home. Just by looking from the road the lake is up easily 30 or so feet. The narrow pass around Long Point is much wider than it was in October.

Luis, I will PM you with details and pictures of the camper trailer. We really enjoyed it as a lake rig. Everything works, no A/C (no big deal to us) I don't like to hear generators running at the beach anyway. We store our stuff at Elephant Butte to keep from hauling it back and forth. I can make you a heck of a deal on a storage space if you buy the camper. :D

Check your private messages.

Thanks

Yup, from what I have seen, I am impressed with lance. my grandparents have always owned Lance, as well as one of our friends. always good luck. hope it continues.

Last time I was at the lake, the pass around longpoint was substantially wider. So was the area around rattlesnake island. Heck, even when we were there for the christmas light parade, it was up a BUNCH. Im hopin to go down next weekend and check it out. I'll let you know how it is.

P. S. every June (the last weekend of June) we always have a "Lake Party". It started out as a Sandia Labs lake party, but has evolved into just a everyone party. This is going to be the 12th annual, I believe. Anyone is welcome. In years past (not recently) we have had close to 200 people show up. With the lake being low, we dont get that turnout anymore, but still good.

Put it on your calendars.

Okay guys now we have more in comon. I'm looking forward to getting my boat back in the water, its been 5 years since I got it wet. It's a 20 ft with a 351w. I also have a 11 ft carabu camper. I'll be watching your posts and catch up with you guys at the lake, if you dont mind. We met at the K&I dinner.

No problem willy. anyones welcome. I was surprised that you didnt go to the strip after the K&I. I figured with all your go-fast mods youd be there.

anyone who is interested, there is a Off road gathering/expo thingy this saturday (3-5) at the sonic on eubank/I-25. should be alot of people there. It was good in the past.

Not quite sure if I can make it Luis. I have to go to an equipment auction at alameda/san pedro around 11, then be at a B-day party at 1:00 in Los. I am going to try to swing by in between, but no promises.

you and mario going? takin the 'yota?

i hope thats not a car crush joke! i would take it but the rod sticking out of the side of the block would probably hinder my car crushing abilities. :{ , maybe whenever i get around to sticking the other motor in i will take it

oh thats right. I keep forgetting about the improperly installed rod. :-laf

I crushed a Jeep the other day. I found a stolen jeep on the mesa, and I figured, what the heck. sucky part was I sliced one of the 40" swampers pretty good in the sidewall. oh well, it was fun anyways.

yeah I'll be at the off road expo. Look for a defender 110 on 42" and portal axles. Might also have the unimog out and probably a blue and silver bronco with a full cage. We'll probably get there around 11 or 11:30. I think it actually starts at 10ish. That's what my buddy involved in the club said. Who knows though maybe I'll see yall.

It *can* be as much as $9-$10 per tank (30 gal as an example) more, which adds up... If you can't feel that - you got deeper pockets than I do. . ! (or maybe you're just not as cheap!) :D

Anyone seen a "reputable" station in Abq. with diesel at less than $2. 00 / gal. . ??
