I was thumbing thru Summit and came across a new type of muffler called an Exhaust Insert.
Its really designed to slip inside the collector of a gasoline type header.
Talk about an easy install. Just slip it inside of our aftermarket 4" exhaust systems. I believe it's 'tunable'. Remove or add a disc to lower or increase sound. Like the Supertrapp mufflers.
The muffler slides INTO a 4" exhaust pipe.

You could experiment where in the system it sounds best. It might need to be put before a bend, so it won't blow out.

If you are running a straight pipe, and its too loud, and want to quiet it down without pulling the pipes apart again, this might slip into the end of the exhaust tip?
It looks like a high quality piece.
