 I just saw the new Mustang commercial where a older guy (dad) is ridding shotgun in a blue 'Stang and his son does a (pretty decent) burnout in a parking lot, then shuts it right down and dad says " that's what I'm talking about, this thing demands respect" or words to that effect.

Dad with a big grin, "wanna go again" and it's another high rev burn out.

Even if its a Ford, that's a good ad. Here's hoping the new Challanger comes with a Hemi and we can have a commercial with the Mopar showing the quick way down the road.

One of the best ads had to be when Chrysler came out with thier "We'd like to thank all the GM & Ford funny car teams for using Chrysler engines in all thier cars" ad. BTW notice that all the fast fords are blown?

With today's overprotective numb and neieve psyche I am amazed they let that fly. I am wickedly proud to see that commercial. If not for any reason it shows the true real life feelings that america has for muscle cars. I am sure as heck that Ford will get sued over this ad.

All it will take is some punk kid that wraps the mustang that Daddy bought for him arround a pole (V6 <-> Shelby 500 does not matter in this case) and he will cry "I saw it on tv" .

I hope they show the other mustang commercial more. It's a 60 seccond flick of a GT drifting all over some industrial backroads etc. You know . . . the real reason for turning the key! After a few rips under and over and across bridges and whatnot he comes to a red light. Up next to him pulls what I can guess to be a 67 or 68 fastback (I had a 68 *Sigh* ... HAD) anyhow he looks over and all you hear is the two pony's at idle. He says "Classic" ... a few secconds pause with a blip of the 68 throttle "Classic" with a Nod and a response rev from the '05. The light goes green and so do the revs and the ad fades to black.

Tim, haven't seen the one you describe, but it sounds cool.

Last summer I was consulting on a job (major gas/water replacement job in a National Park) in Hot Springs, Ar. I drove my 70 340 Duster over a few times. We worked long hours and one night around 12 midnight I was leaving Central Ave. and at a red light a 68/9 Z Camero pulled up, we looked at each other, grinned and man I wanted to go. But he had better judgement and a couple of blocks later turned off.

Kinda a Twilight Zone moment. 1970 all over again.
