Anybody have any ideas, I installed my new Pacbrake and with the cab switch off the brake is on at idle and upon accel, with the switch on, the brake is off at idle and on upon accel. I have double checked the wiring and the white and black wire at the 50 pin connector on the engine ECM. I can only drive the truck after I remove the 30 amp fuse for the compressor and bleed off the air pressure. Anybody seen this before?

You don't express you self in a way that I can understand your exact problem to help. .

I'll be in the office from 8-5 tomorrow, 800. 445. 4696 give me a call and I'll see if I can help. . West coast.

But here is part of what I read into what you've said. .

PacBrake suggests that you remove the rubber plugs in the ecm and push in the wires to connect to the ecm. . . we've found this to be very bad advice to save time... disconnect the batteries, pull the ecm connector and make sure the pins are pushed in and have SNAPPED into place... if not snap them into place and retest... .

On some trucks based on how your ECM is programed you might find the pacbrake on at idle but it should turn off when you accelerate...

Also on some applications its common for the air compressor to run and charge the tank when the exhaust brake is off... thus there is air when you wish to use the exhaust brake. .

I read into your words that you have air to the cylinder most of the time and the pacbrake is on and only pulling the 30 amp fuse, thus the system drains down and the cylinder retracts and the pacbrake goes off. . if this is the case are you sure you don't the air tube that is to go to the tank going to the cylinder and maybe the air from the solenoid goes to the tank and not to the cylinder. . This alone would give you the problem I think you are trying to share with us. .

Thanks for opening my eyes

I was looking way to hard for an electrical problem and never double checked the air line routing. The tank and brake lines were reversed. I will make the change tomorrow- snowing now. Thanks again for the help.
