Man Don, that looks awesome!!! I really like the stripe on the hood! Are you glad the talke you into it? I'll look you up next time I'm down your way.

By the way, in the 2nd picture it looked like the dog was headed for you wheel!!!

Good looking truck

Sweet! Really made it look completely different. You really got your moneys worth for sure. Bet you will be looking for your "old" truck when you come out of stores though. :-laf

Don/TX,

Your truck looks great. Nice color combination, also.

My '91. 5 W-250, which, I bought new, looks like hell, now. A lot of the paint has fallen off, completely. I got an estimate of $3300 for a new paint job, where they take the bed off & replace a lot of the trim. Remove the windows, also. It's just hard to justify that much money on a truck that is not worth much more than that.

Again, your truck is beautiful. Nice job!!!

Thanks for the compliment. I just love its looks.

I had to make the same judgement calls, my paint was getting pretty crappy, and I had always hated the green color. This was a compromize really. The inside of the doors and door sill got new color, under the hood as well. The bed was not taken off, but you cannot tell by looking down the crack, not at all. The only portion I have found lacking is the inside ends of the tailgate (I have Rhino liner stuff on the inside of the bed). I use the heck out of my truck, I love it and love to drive it. Made no sense to put more than the $800 into a paint job (I tipped the shop a $100). From any normal walk-by or such, it looks very original, and very nice. Good enough for my use.

For that difference in bucks, you could drive down here and get yours painted!:-
