RV Wheel bearing maintenance

Big toss up. Both are four star rated. I had a big Lance Truck camperand loved it. If I were in the truck camper market again, which I'm not, I'd have to consider the Arctic Fox as well.

Problem with Artic Fox is that there are no dealers anywhere close to NC.

Kelly Mobile Homes and RV Sales in West Milton PA is most likely the only Arctic Fox dealer you are going to find in the east. It is quite a drive for you, but they are a great family owned dealership. Ask for Susanne if you call.

I love our 2011 Arctic Fox 1150 Dry Bath. It has been a great Truck Camper for us, (me, wife, 5 year and 80 pound Rott/Lab mix). We use it about 50 nights a year:)

I'm lucky in that I live in Oregon and Arctic Fox are made in Oregon so we had lots of dealer choices and choices between Arctic Fox and Lance (among many other brands)

We looked at getting the Lance 1191 and it was in the final running. Our choice of the AF was made easier by the Lance dealers thinking everything was worth more then $40K, while we got our AF brand new for $26K (some of this was ''options'' differnces) and we frankly liked the Arctic Fox dealer (in Portland) a lot more then the local Lance dealer five minutes from home.

About 16 months later and we are still happy with our choice!

All that said if the Lance's had been priced lower and the Lance dealer was better we likely would have a Lance and be happy too. As you know the dealer can make all the differnce in the purchase and ownership experience... .

I've owned four Lance campers over the past 25+ years and if I were in the market for another camper, I'd buy another Lance. I would have considered Arctic Fox, but they have had very sparse to mostly no dealer representation over the years in Texas.

When in Ca we went to the desert during the winter to camp. Took a look at the guy's next to us he had an Arctic Fox I was impressed with the fit and finish of the interior cabinets and hardware. It wasn't the cheap stuff. I have know idea about Lance.

Both are great units. Both dealers are minutes from my house. The wife preferred the Arctic Fox interior. If you're looking for a non slide unit check out the Lance side entry with popout back tent option. The Arctic Fox is great in hot and cold weather. Don't forget S&S campers. They are another great unit.

I just bought a 2012 Lance in April. I'm very pleased with it. The new way they are constructed with all the parts cut on CNC machines makes for a very nice camper.

All the wood is real so it looks very nice without the "printed looks like wood" they used to have. The laminated walls keep the weight light. I can't say enough good things about it. Large water and holding tanks are under the floor to keep the weight low.

If you haven't been to the Lance website, these videos, especially the top one, helped me decide on a Lance. Lance Video
