Did they start using an actual oil pressure gauge in these pickups again? The gauge in my pickup has read from just under 40 psi to just over 40 psi depending on rpm and engine temp and all that happy stuff. Also will In Console Triple from Geno's fit on the 2005? It looks like the hole for the cubby hole is kind of small to fit 2 inch gauges, did they change this from 2004 to 2005 pickups? Also does it need to be modified to fit the Di-Pricol gauges like the catalog says?

Oil pressure sender is a switch, when it sees 6 psi the computer takes over and varies the reading based on rpm and coolant temperature. Below 6 and it will read 0 so if it reads pressure then actual is something over 6 psi. One of these days I will screw in a manual gauge and test how accurate the virtual reading is.

Thats on my 03 and I believe it has not changed for the newer ones.

I can't answer your gauge question for sure.

Your oil pressure gauge varies like mine does? If thats the case someone really thinks they are pretty smart for fooling us like that, probably wouldn't have cost any more money to do it the right way anyhow. Thanks alot, anyone know about the gauge mount?

I have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge and I can say that if it ever matches what the factory gauge reads it's meerly a coincidence.

if the 05 is like my 04 the gauges fit nicely. the "tray" gets removed from the dash. the only mod to the cubby mount and di-pricol gauges has to do with the clamp brackets. the 2 retaining screws on the gauges are off 90 degrees from where the cubby bracket mounts were intended, however if you have some fabricating skills and some small steel pieces, it will work. i used a small piece to clamp the gauge to the cubby mount and then another piece on top of that to clamp the assembly to the dash panel. it took longer to do this than to route the lines and drill and tap the pyro hole, but it looks great!!!! most people think they are factory gauges.

As far as I know the In Console pod doesn't work on the 05 and up 4x4, or mabie even the 4x2. If you notice in the geno's catalog they only go to 04.

Thanks alot, I wasn't thinking at first, and was justlooking in my catalog as well and it only says 04, and then I though, why not check the website, and they have 05 listed on the web site, so it must work, thanks again
