New PM bar flashing at top of screen

The new PM bar is flashing at the top of my screen, but I have read all the messages. I don't want to delete them yet. How can I get rid of the flashing bar?

Mine stays there until I log off the site. Even when the message is read and deleted it stays there.

I logged off and back on. It's still flashing.

maybe your using a cache copy of the page... did you reload it? Well I guess logging off and back on would do that. Strange... Steve might know.

I'd be willing to bet that you have an unread message still. If you look down near the bottom of the forums screen you'll see the private message folder information and I bet it says you have 0 new messages and 1 or more unread messages. The flashing bar at the top works off of unread messages - the popup private message notification works off of new messages. You can find out for sure by going to your user control panel and it will show you any unread private messages. The reason it's staying up there for some of you after you've read your messages is because you are using your back key to get back to one of the pages. If you hit refresh on that page it'll go away too.

Thanks Steve. That worked, but I don't know why I couldn't see the messaag in my inbox. I can't re-create the situation now that it's cleared. If it happens again, I'll watch more closely.
