"NEW" Power Service fuel additive

Has anyone looked at a bottle of Power Service lately. They're adding "Slick 50" to their diesel fuel additive (the one in the dark grey bottle). Just saw this in Wmart the other day.

Slick 50 in the fuel... . Hmmm... is that good???? Kinda thought Slick 50 was listed under "Snake oils"!!! I doubt if there's more than a few drops in a liter of Power Service (just enough for advertising purposes) but should there be any. What do you guy's think.

We all know some kind of lubricant is good for the 24 valve engine. Just never thought of adding slick 50 to the fuel.

Hmm, I'm a Power Service dealer and I haven't seen Slick 50 mentioned on any of my inventory. I'll have to check with my supplier. Makes me wonder if its a Wal-Mart gimmick.

slick 50had there own diesel fuel additive for awhile. i was good stuff. alcohol free, kerosene free. it was called big rig formula. it sucks they stopped making it. i was running it with stanadyne. i doubt there is enough in a bottle of the power service to make a difference though.

I wouldn't think you'd have to run anything with Stanadyne.

I run the Power Service additive and the bottle says "Slick Diesel" additive, could this be what you saw?

My mistake!

I was wrong on the "Slick 50" in Power Service. It does say "Slick Diesel". The "Slick" looked like the trade mark used in "Slick 50".

Haven't done a search yet... but does anyone know what the new ingredient is?
