haha the joke was on me, a guy bought a 2012 and stuck those stickers on his rig lol I'm like wait a sec I know the Cummins makes too much torque for the gearing in the Power Wagon

For the life of me, there's two things that really baffle me:

1) Why won't Ram equip the Power Wagon with a Cummins?

2) Why won't Ram build a full size SUV based on the full size truck like they did before with the Ramcharger? That Ramcharger was awesome!

Somewhere back in the day, someone said it was because the winch blocking airflow across the intercooler. I believe it was during one of the 'Chat With the Engineers' bits

Yes, that is it. Part of the 'Power Wagon' option pack is the winch... . it takes up the space where CAC flow normally comes in, and also sits high enough to not allow for full installation of the CAC, related plumbing, and subsequent relocation of the rest of the stuff behind the grille/bumper area.

The full size SUV issue was due to many things---crash testing, marketing dept feeling full size SUVs weren't financially viable, engineering, etc etc etc. At one time, you could find them all over Mexico, and there are quite a few photos of them on the 'net along with the actual Chrysler data behind them being real and legitimate down there.

I don't know for sure, but I'm confident I could get a winch for my truck that wouldn't interfere with the intercooler and other vital plumbing on the Cummins. So my question would be then, if I can get it on the aftermarket, why can't Mopar with all their engineering brilliance make a winch work with a Cummins in a Power Wagon. I think that combo would fly off the lot!

I heard that too with the 2nd Gens in Mexico outfitted with SUV bodies. I saw a few pics and they looked good! Since Ford killed the Excursion, the only game left in town for a heavy-duty truck based SUV is a Chevy/GMC Suburban/Yukon with a super thirsty 6L V8. An SUV based on the new Dodge 4G would give them serious competition IMHO and be cheaper to run than that 10MPG "Vortec Max" V8.

Where can you find one aftermarket?

I just don't think there is physically room.

The other issue is the strength of the axles when locked (only the 10. 5 has the OEM elocker option right now) when combined with the diesel torque. It would be all too easy to snap the front axle.

you sure can, but it will replace the stock bumper and stick out a country mile in front of the truck! the STOCK bumper (that the PW and our trucks have) does NOT have room for a winch AND intercooler behind it!
