Well it seems that the gods are testing me. My pride and joy decided that I needed to spend some money on it so it recently started crying those green tears. It seems that the radiator is simply giving up. When I had it tested this morning, it had 4 pinholes in it in random locations. After checking several local places and other internet sites, I called R+P repair in Jasper and got a new one for 285. 00 and compared to anything else I 've seen this was a smokin' deal. Guess i'll be installing tomorrow , but I still can't believe that at 45,000mi. I have to totally replace the radiator But according to everyone i've talked to these radiators are almost the worst construction for repair. Just a little head's up .

Hopefully I'm keepin' Murphy occupied so the rest of ya' can have a good one

Chuck, light snow most of the day but never stuck, around 32° all day, but I'm only at 4000 ft. Worst thing was a constant 30 mph wind from the south. Seems the bad weather is staying to the east of the Divide, all the way to Texas!

illflem; I've never been a big fan of the stuff, Besides it looked like someone else had already tried it . Anyway 300. 00 I probobly would have just spent it on go-fast parts anyway:(

Bill

You are lower Elev. than I, I though you were up more, we had that cold wind today too, cuts right thru you. I love that Bitterroot valley, beautiful country.

Brent, I try to avoid the stuff also but have had excellent results with the kind made of ground aluminum in the pill bottle size container (Bars-Leak?). I had a guy drive an older tractor into a tree, put a branch though the radiator. JD wanted $600, if they could even find a new one. I just kinked the broken tubes and added stop leak. That was 15 years ago, the tractor hasn't leaked since.

Chuck, I'm in the lowlands, but just need to go 4 miles in either direction to be up at 9000, I'm sure the snow's sticking there.
