Had the truck parked idling after getting off work this morning. Was standing a few yards away when I glanced at the truck. My first thought was: The a/c shouldn't be dripping and making a puddle in front of the drivers front tire. Walked over and sure enough puddle of anti-freeze was on the ground. Drove it on up to the house and checked, and it wasnt the pet cock. CRAP!!!#@$%!
Checked a few threads on here and "Performance Radiator" kept popping up. We just happen to have one in Little Rock so I called em up. They happened to have one in stock. 235 bucks for the part number 1553. Doesnt seem quite as beefy as the OEM, but looks to be well built.
Few pointers AFTER you take the old one out, and BEFORE you put the new one in.
Pull the bolt clips off of the old radiator and replace the ones on the new radiator. The new ones are crap.
Pull the bottom rubber "stopper knobs" off the old one and install on the bottom.
Make sure and let the truck run for sometime with the cap off when refilling the system. A bubble can be created and "air lock" the system and cause over heating in a VERY short time.
