installed the ramifier yesterday!

Ton's of power! Right away set off check engine light. Checked code: P-0148. anyone know what this code is. Also, seems like after letting off the throttle, engine keeps pulling for a couple of seconds. any ideas? thanks... james:D

P0148: High Pressure Common Rail Checksum

Set Condition: A deviation between the fuel pressure set point and the actual fuel pressure.

Almost sounds like you forgot to make a connection? The Ramifier set the rail pressure itself, and the ECM is complaining.

all connections are correct and tight.

should i try to reset the computer and re-connect the ramifier? truck only had 700 miles on it... ... . james

hmmm "deviation between the fuel pressure set point and the actual fuel pressure". thats what makes these pressure boxes work. you guys sure that the 04. 5 doesn't have some sort of anti-pressure fooling thing happening? this is the very operational mode that makes these boxes work -- the fueling box makes the ECM think that pressure is low, so the ECM sends pressure commands to the pump. .

I dunno. this sounds like the ECM doesn't like to be lied to...

P-0148: Fuel Delivery Error. Heck of a start!. Never have heard/seen that code set before. Of course you do have a 600 so we may be learning something here. Mark.

I had that same code with my EZ lvl. 4 on my 600. Edge said EZ is not compadable with the 600 and will have lots of problems. Edge says they will have a box for the 600 in about 4-5 months, (Edge talk this means at least a year).

what milage span do you think is appropriate to add a box?

i figure after the axles were broken in it would be all good. the price was right on the ramifier so i went with it. hopefully it's just this particular box!... . james

looks like the 600s won't tolerate the the high pressure boxes. Smells a lot to me like the 600 ECM has a tighter check to control the delta between the reported fuel pressure (supplied by the box that introduces error into the pressure feedback loop), and the pressure set point (what the ECM dials up in order to satisfy the input measurement provided by the lying box.

Ramifer and EZ are no different from each other in the basic way they pressure fool the ECM ...

TS performance is TOP NOTCH!

got it all squared away!

Dennis at Ts Performance say's the 04 program won't work on the 04. 5. i shipped it back to him today and he is going to reprogram it. can't wait to get it back! TS has great costomer service. nice to see a company stand behind their product! thanks to all with the insight... . james:D

maybe I'm just too conservative but it just struck me as odd that a box would be installed in the field without at least somebody in the chain (from design to mfg to sales to consumer) first knowing that it wouldn't work.

lol......

Odd,maybe. Remember we are talking about human beings. ;)

yea, grant you that. TST had some birthing pains to, so yea you gotta give 'em a break. I just thought that in a market where the Edge EZ (same basic method of raising pressure) has made it clear theirs won't work, that any of the more powerful pressure boxes would end up on a 600 and throw a DOA.

DLeno

DLeno,

You said thr Ramifier has a higher pressure than the EZ .

Would you list the numbers so we all know how much more pressure the Ramifier puts out than the EZ??

Thanks , Steve
