New rear gears and carrier

[CUMMINZ]

When we tore into rear diff we found a little wear on ring gear and pinion. Installed new carrier and ring gear and pinion and all bearings. Changed gears from 4.10 to 3.73
When running 4.10s @ 70mph I tacked @ 2,000rpm. I am kinda amazed that these gears and carrier gears are breaking up and wearing with only 92,000 miles.

Did you replace them? These gears should be lasting longer.

If you look at your new ring gear teeth they are ground/honed and in my pic you can see the surface has barely worn.

It tells me the sky was NOT falling like so many on her said it would towing so heavy with 3:42's.
