New record at Barret Jackson auction $3 million

I just watched the record being set for the highest price ever paid for one car at the Barrett Jackson auction. $3 million 1954 Oldsmobile F-88 concept car.

That was actually last year but still quite amazing. Lots of unbelievable cars on there.

I've heard that the car bought was not the original concept car, but a second version of it. The original was destroyed in a fire (or something like that) and a second was was built. It is still the only one in existance.



There is another concept car up for auction this year that is similar to the one last year. It will be interesting to see what it goes for this year. I was there for that one last year. The tent was so full that I had to watch from outside on the big screens. I'm only going to be there Wed morning thru Friday night, so I won't see this one go through.
