Amsoil Inc. still produces a CI-4+ oil. I'm sure there are others as well.

I just used up my remaining Royal Purple CI4 oil. If Amsoil still makes a CI4 I would like to know the TBN, and Calcium numbers.

Also the going price?

Also a outlet to buy it without having to do mail order in Southern Calif.

Thanks

Hey Mac I have a friend out here in the IE who is an amsoil dealer his # 909 648-6707 his name is Mark He is also a CTD nut with a hot rodded 24v and usually goes to May Madness and all the other events back in the day

CAT still offers CI-4+ 15w-40 dino if it matters :D

I've also been told recently that the Chevron Delo is still available in 5 gal pails and larger with the CI-4+ rating :)

I already know that this thread is asking about T6 syn oils, but I feel that a few of us have ventured this way while merely seeking CI-4+ oils.

I would prefer a syn over dino any day, but I can't seem to find anything locally that doesn't have "CJ-4" printed somewhere on the jug #@$%! And I'm NOT willing to pay for the over-priced Amsoil, that seems to be the "best thing since sliced bread".

After reading https://www.turbodieselregister.com/magazines/Issue_057.phtml (pages 57-61), I could clearly see that there was no bias or brand preference (once the labels were removed) and the results speak volumes IMHO!!

I just saw the Rotella T6 at the Walmart. This oil would seem to make sense for almost anyone. I drive few miles these days and changing oil once a year sounds great to me as long as I am not damaging my engine. I use the fleetguard filter from Genos with the finer micron filtration. I just want to make sure this stuff in Cummins approved. Any assurances??
