Just bought new rotors for my 96 and noticed they had a wheel with teeth

on the rear of the rotor which I believe are for ABS, mine does not have this

wheel. can they still be used? or do I have to buy the ones without the

wheel, I would hate to take them back since they weigh a ton. Thanks in

Advance.

I'm not sure about the rotors, but I know the bearings have the ABS tone ring in them, regardless of the year now... . a universal bearing, I guess you could say. That way they can charge more for it. I like it, as you can lube the bearings, but if you have a 98 or earlier without front ABS, you have to make sure you have the hole plugged before you assemble it.

Kind of hard to guess what is going on since we have no idea of what your truck is. Is it 4x4? ABS: 2 or 4 wheel or none?

On a '95 4x4 with 4 wheel ABS the tone ring is on the stub shaft (not in the hub bearing). Sounds like You may have the wrong rotors.
