OK - in a effort to keep my CAD intact (recently frozen with our weather changes) I finally searched for and found the vent cap for the system. This is where the fresh air is admitted to allow the vacuum motor diaphragm to move. When pump vacuum is applied to one side, the other must be relieved to allow motion, yadda, yadda. So… since this would be a great place for moisture/water to slowly, repeatedly enter the CAD plumbing, why is it strapped to the vacuum supply line down behind the fuel filter?? Has anyone attempted to repipe it to the top of the firewall/bulkhead (strapped to the vacuum lines there) to keep it high and dry?? Just kinda funny that the OEM site for this active air inlet is LOWER than the the differential and CAD vents which are JUST passive breathers!!
