New Scotty III

Dual ball bearing turbo from DD

I just installed a Scotty Ram Air III in my 04. 5. The fender opening is much larger than the Scotty's intake. There is either a large gap, or the intake is deep in the fender opening. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

Is yours an 05? I purchased a Scotty for mine and it fit the same way, and also was sliding forward and hitting the A/C lines. I spoke to DPP and they advised me that I could zip tie it to the bat cable. I also have the new Torque Tube from AFE and these two combos just did'nt fit clean enough for me. I was totally bummed out, because I really wanted to run the Scotty. So I ended up returning the Scotty for a AFE with the PG7. The AFE works great with my upgraded exhaust. I'm sure if I would have tinkered around with the Scotty I could of made it work, but for $270 I did'nt think I should have to. Goog luck to you with your system and truck.

Mine is an 04. 5. Dave at DPP said that the factory increased the size of the fender opening for the 600's. I really like the idea of the scotty and the uni filter, but the "fit and finish" of the product is disappointing. I'm not sure if I want to keep it or not. I still have to install the aeroturbine, hopefully that will be more satisfying.
