2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission New seal in steering gear?

Hello,

I noticed my truck started puking oil out of the pitman arm shaft seal. I have searched and cannot find a thread about changing the seal. All I find is threads relating to replacing the box. I really do not have the money for a new steering gear right now. Anyone ever tried putting a new seal in? I assume the box can be left in place?? Anyone know the seal I need?

yes you can do it in place. it icctually pretty simple to do.
