2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission new seats for a 99 quad cab

I've recently picked up a second 99' quad cap and so far the only thing I've found that it really needs is a new drivers seat. I'd like to just swap out the entire front seat assembly for one out of a newer truck and be done with it. Does anyone know if seats from a 3rd gen truck will fit my 2nd gen?

I have done this but just the opposite from what you are doing. I had an '05 3500 DRW and bought a set of 2nd gen seats. It took me about a month to modify the seat bottoms. Turned out pretty good. I am not talking just the driver seat. I did full front seats including the center console. Since I know that 2nd gen seats will fit into the 3rd gen, then I am pretty sure that the 3rd gen seats will fit. If I had the money I would buy a set of Laramie LH seats out of a 4th gen. But those go for over 1k.
