New security console being offered

Here is a link to a new Security Console Diesel Max is offering. It is made out of 12 guage steel & powder coated with your choice of 3 colors to match the interior of your truck, it has 3 lock options also, & comes carpeted in the bottom. The price is very reasonable at $299 & has a convienient place to mount extra switchs & a CB radio.



The only draw back is you have to put a $150 deposit down to reserve one, when Diesel Max has 25 pre-orders then they will be made & shipped. I talked to the owner on the phone & put a deposit down on one. He said there is going to be an article on it in one of the diesel magizines in the next month or two & production should be shortly after that for the 25 that are pre-ordered.

Has anyone received one of these yet? I have called, but not received a call back. I am interested if they went in to production, and what people thought of them.

I hate to throw rocks at glass houses... but after running a business for years and finally retiring..... what the guys are doing is something that I'd never do to customers... asking for money up front and not being able to to talk about deliver...

I've never had a customer who I've had to take an advance payment from to start the job nor ask for progress payments even when some of the jobs were in the $30 to $40K range...

And in today's economy I wouldn't even let Sears hold my money when something is special ordered... .

I hope you guys really get what is being offered to you. .

The ones from diesel max are quite a bit bigger than the ones offered by Genos. And the payment up front hasn't been charged, yet. I mailed him a check, but he's never cashed it. Yeah, maybe it's a gamble, but hey, it really looks like a good box.....
