New service manual date

Does anyone have the latest on the service manual release date for the 2011's? The outfit that the owners manual tells us to call said that they don't know when the new manuals will be released. Sounds kinda fishy to me, the 11's have been out a while now. I got the one for my Y2K the week after I bought it.

last I heard they no longer offer service manuals, even to dealers. It is now all online only, and the subsciption to the service is supposed to be pretty pricey.

OUCH!! I was afraid of that. I wonder if the after market will step up, Haynes or Clymer maybe?

I don't see paper manuals making a return. They got so pricey that dealers stopped buying them years ago. You can bet that dealers have always been the biggest market. No demand always means-no supply.

The aftermarket manuals have always been a poor substitute for the oem,now with the much more high tech vehicles they have an even harder time keepimg up. Very few vehicle systems can be tested or repaired with out the use of high dollar equiptment out of the budget of most DIY guys. The other systems,base brakes,driveline. etc normally will not require a manual
