new slush box same price as 6 speed?

i was surfing dodge's canadian website and went into the build your own feature and built one. it looks like the 6 speed is the same price as the new r48e auto transmission. good and bad at the same time i guess... this will just make it so i will never see a 6 speed on a dealer lot until i order mine why will they order that when they can get the auto at the same price??? bummer





on a side note, you can see my ugly mug on the www.dodge.ca website under the "meet the dream dodge winner"... i just noticed that today... oh well... i think i can get a good bit of coin for it when it comes in... then put that towards my 04 that i will order...

i guess my statment is only good for canadians. the 6 speed and the new auto are both $1315. 00 [CDN] while the US gets the 6 speed for $400. 00 [USD] and the new auto for $1095. 00 [USD]



that works out to ±$610. 00 for the 6 speed canadian, and ±$1665. 00 for they auto. us canadians always seem to get the short end of the stick. . [at least for those that want a manual transmission ]

Congradulations! Now you will own your HO 6speed for a total of about $10,000 Cdn. I am dreaming of that same scenario for myself where I entered a contest and the top prize is a new 1500 Quad Cab 4x4. The first thing I will do is trade up on a new HO 2500. I highly doubt I'll be as lucky as you though.

it'll be more like $20k but still a great price. i think the dealers will shaft me because the winning truck is a manual transmission. i am hoping to get $30k for it. the truck i want is ±$50k less say $30k for that 1500, and maybe another $15k for my tahoe that puts me at about $5k out of my bank... and that leaves much $$$ for customising...
