Hey gang, I landed a sweet deal on 4 new take-off rims (17") from a 2006 W2500 for the old Goat (93). Tried one on the front, but it appears that the backspacing is too deep, and they'll hit on the tie rods. Anyone know where is a good spot to get spacers (adapters) and what thickness will be best. I think they're gonna look sweet on the old girl. Gotta wait for the salt shakers to be done before puttin' them on anyways, but had an anxious moment..... :D

Any suggestions ?

I ran into the same problem when I was going to mount my 01 aluminum stockers on my 93. I never persued it farther. I did though, find some wheel spacers on a ford D70 axle at Pick and Pull. So I snagged them. They are 3. 5" thick and have . 5625" studs. I thought they would work for the front axle to mount dually wheels but they are too short. But I think they are too tall for this app. Salt Shakers?

You might want to try these guys; www.trailsport4x4.com 909-370-0144. Stock 1st gen rims are 16x6, 01 aluminum wheels are 16x8. I needed 2" spacers to make mine work. Whats the size of those 3rd gens? The spacers use 9/16 studs and are about $150 a pair.
