My sleeper is less than 2 weeks away, and I have discovered that I cannot see out of my aftermarket (Cheap) bolt on towing mirrors. I have researched CIPA and the others, but they do not seem to extend as far as the factory towing mirrors on my friend's 2000. From the door glass to the outside edge is nearly 20 inches, as compared to my 17". On a previous post someone mentioned that the Cipa's were only about 17" extended. I need as wide as possible.

I don't care about heated or power, I just want to see my gooseneck trailer. Question is... . Will the new style towing mirrors bolt right up to my 97? And more importantly, where to get them.

YOu can get them fron the dealer. I've seen a few pairs on Ebay for a reasonable price. Be aware that some of hte guys on Ebay sell the ones that the dealerships have to remove because of the mirror being loose.

As far as mounting then on our truck, I had a pair that I was looking to install on my truck. You'll need the backing plate DC sells is you buy a set. The studs on the mirrors are longer than the factory mirrors that ore on your truck. I believe that is the only thing you'll need to make them fit.

Here's a pic of what it looks like with the mirror in place without the backing plate.

Flying Nun mirrors

I put them on my 96'.

I order all of my Dodge parts from

www.magauto.com

Way cheaper than your Local Stealer!!

There are a new brand of mirrors that just came in the shop today. I will get a set this week and installe them on my 96.

They are huge and come in black - electric or manual.

Much bigger than the mirrors on the new models and the extend also.
