I have searched and cnat find any recent info on this. What is the newest part numbers and where is everyone buying theirs at these days? Called the dodge dealer in town and they quoted me 560 for just the drag link and tie rod with ends on them, that seems high i notice amazon has this setup for like 315 shipped but no mention of part number anywhere. Also my 3500 has a 6 inch lift under it (I think as i bought the truck with it already installed and dealer didnt know), my pitman arm seems to be new as the dual steering stabilizer which clamps to axle tubes and tie rod. Will my pitman arm be ok to run with the new steering setup along with the dual stabilizers until i can afford to upgrade the stab as well?

I replaced my steering linkages with synergy, all of the ends are rebuildable. They are a little pricey but worth it to me.
Genos Garage carries them.

i would love to do the synergy setup.....but the 450 dollar price difference is out of the budget right now. I dont want to replace TRE in the inverted Y steering is the only reason im looking at the t type steering as my TRE on the current setup are trashed. Figured if i was spending 200 on TREs on the curent the 315 for the new setup is a no brainer. just unsure if my pitman arm i currently have will work as it comes from the bottom up instead of the pictures ive seen of the t type where it seems to go from the top down.

Im not sure about the pitman arm, I have read the with a lift you had to use a different pitman arm so you could keep the geometrey the same. I know I was'nt much help, Im sure someone else can give you more info.

Yea I have seen the same thing, being mine goes from the bottom up make me think mine should be ok as is as just that would seem to alleviate some of the sharp angle and help keep bump steer in check.

also just thought about walking out and seeing if there are any numbers on the pitman arm. It has DC500 which comes back as a procomp drop pitman arm. maybe that will give some more insight to this.

There is a new pitman arm in the box with the steering Linkage.
I did this upgrade some yard ago so I can't provide you the #.
Bought it from SteveWhite.com online. 30% under Mopar Price.

You are right, I checked it, the also new steering box I got was delivered with 2 pitman arms for the old and new linkage.

I did a all in one upgrade for 880$.

You will need a new pitman arm for the new linkage. You will also need a drop pitman arm or bump steer is going to be pretty bad. It will still be there worse than the y-type steering but getting the drag link and track bar closer will help.

What's the reasoning for the new pitman arm and can anybody point me in the direction of one. I have a drop pitman arm on there currently but if it won't work I'll buy a new one.

The reason for the new pitman arm is to prevent contact of the drag link with the def housing when the truck bounced. As for using the newer style system with your drop pitman arm the main issue is how the tierod end is bent to prevent the ball stud from getting popped out of the socket as was the issue with the early units that were recalled. the tierod end had a bend downward added to it to prevent the ball stud from getting over extended in an extreme right turn which would/ could / and did pop the ball stud out of the socket. with your drop pitman arm having the ball stud enter form the bottom not the top you now have an even more extreme angle and more pressure on the ball stud than the old recalled tierod end ever had to handle. I'm not sure who's system will work with your lifted truck.

The ends on the new drag links are a different size and different angles, cannot mix old and new drag link ends.

The reason for the drop is to align the drag link and track bar for steering purposes. You should be able to source a drop pitman arm for the new steering since it started in 08.5 before the monster boxes came out. The monster boxes take a different pitman arm than all the previous.
