Dishman Dodge has made adjustments subsequent to the departure of Adam Macomber, with the goal of continuing and improving upon the customer satisfaction expressed so often here in this forum.

Another exceptional member of the Dishman team, in my experience, has been Josh Ullrich, the "parts/accessories guy", whose advice and knowledge was invaluable during my decision-making re. purchase options and aftermarket add-ons. He has been very helpful, also, with post purchase questions. (The last is a very good indicator of character, IMO. It is very easy to "forget" yesterday's customer after the deal is done. )

This very friendly young man is sharp! There is no "Duh!" element in the equation.

Josh has sent me this update on developments at the dealership (with permission to post here).

[Note that Rob Croswhite (with one "s"), the new TDR rep. , has been recommended in forum posts by long time TDR member "jelag", ... here:

Jelag is in Spokane,... which means that a very short hop would take him to the Dave Smith dealership, if he were so inclined. Apparently he is not. ;) ]

Josh's message:

Dishman Dodge's new TDR representative is Rob Croswhite. Rob has been with the dealership for many years in various aspects and is an outstanding individual (in fact, his father is our Used Car Manager and has been for many years, as well). He will be able to provide expedient and knowledgeable service to all (he is even a "step-in" supervisor for the sales teams). His contact information is as follows: Telephone: (509) 270-3984/(877) 568-3363 E-Mail: <mailto:robc@dishmandodge.com>

I (Josh Ullrich) will be able to assist Rob with any TDR inquiries to the best of my abilities. My contact is (877) 568-3363 ext. 101

E-mail: <mailto:joshu@dishmandodge.com>

As soon as we get our TDR account up and rolling both of us will be active on the boards.

The intent of ("both" of) these gentlemen to participate in this forum, time permitting, is very good news. I have found Josh to be a person whose diesel knowledge is considerable, and who will diligently seek the answers to questions which he does not have.

In light of recent postings re. "Service Departments", I inquired of Josh what the situation is at Dishman, for those who might be close enough to seek service there. He responded that, to his knowledge, customers are quite pleased with that department.

I have seen nothing to the contrary posted at TDR.

Repeating my previously posted "disclaimer", ... two points:

I am not easy to please, and unhesitatingly vocal when angered by poor treatment at dealerships.

I have zero connection with Dishman Dodge except that of a very satisfied customer, and resulting friendships with some Dishman personnel.

I hope that this info may be helpful to anyone considering dealerships to contact.

In closing, I wish to extend well deserved best wishes to Adam, as well, in his to-be-announced new location. :)

Hey guys,

This is Josh Ullrich "accessory guy" as i am sometimes called. I realize that there may be many questions floating around about "what will you guys do now?" Well, we move on with business, and will continue to provide absolutely everyone with the absolute utmost service and courtesy. I asked Wolfy if he could provide everyone with a brief synopsis of what was going on, so "thank you. "

I had Rob Croswhite do a quick write-up so everyone knows what he is about, it is as follows:

Hi TDR,

My name is Rob Croswhite. Some of you I have already met and helped Butch deliver your new trucks to. I have been with Dishman Dodge for over 10 years, doing everything from picking up cigarette butts, to washing cars, to pulling frames in the body shop, to selling trucks for the last 5 years. I am very proud to represent Dishman Dodge to you. We have over 40 years of quality customer service, and our owner Marti Hollenbeck is here at the dealership 5 days a week to see her fathers great reputation upheld. I don't know it all, but I do care that my customers get the right rig for their wants and needs, so we will do some discovery together.

I am very excited to be your Contact here at Dishman Dodge, and will do my best to balance my previous customers needs and your inquiries in to our new and used Dodge Trucks.

My cell phone number is (509)270-3984 and it even works after you buy a vehicle from me. If I am with a customer or out with my family please leave a message and I will respond as soon as physically possible.

Thanks again Rob Croswhite.

His e-mail address is -- email address removed --

Our dealership obviously wants the continued support of the TDR, because we are absolutely a team here, not just a one man show. Rob and I will be working together to meet and exceed the needs of all members, so please feel free to contact us with ANY questions that you have. I can be reached at (877) 568-3363 ext. 101 or -- email address removed --

We look forward to hearing from all!!!

Richard Bowman

A couple of years ago,Mr. Bowman took the time to price out a CTD for me to the penny. He was extremely knowledgable and courteous with zero pressure. After all his research and trouble, unfortunately I had to decline his offer. His reaction was of kindness and understandiing of my situation. I purchased my '07 from another dealer which worked out fine, but had I known Mr. Bowman was still under the employ of Dishman,I would have given him my business. I would not hesitate to give Dishman my future business and recommend them highly. Sincerely,BB

Changing of the guard goes on in all businesses. Dynamic changes are usually good for all concerned.
One thing I have missed during these reads about the gathering of the TEAM to fill what must be a very large, unrecognized, void created by Adam's departure, is the way he earned my business. It is my observation that he worked successfully in developing the TDR sales model for Dishman Dodge. Adam worked hard to provide solutions to my demands. The team, man-ship, was clearly in play at other dealers, whom I sought answers from during my pre-order days of December and January. Fellow TDR members provided me with the names of Dealers and Salesman that had earned their business.

Five Dealer Representatives responded to my many emails and phone calls regarding my inquiries about ordering a 6. 7 ctd, 3500. Two, provided the pricing I had requested, and one provided the complete list of options, prices, and a full compliment of answers to my questions. Lesser Dealers Teams were bumping into each other while taking their time in answering my inquiries, or simply did not want to work the problem. My local Dealer provided a little insight to the Dodge Dealer culture. Three times during the last week of December I drove there and tried to get pricing and ordering information. It was like dealing with a pack of K9's who had marked their territory. No one would move in and take the lead and provide answers that could lead to the sale of a truck.
I ordered my truck using the internet from the comfort of my home in north Texas and was willing to buy from anyone, anywhere, who would respectfully earn my business. Adam did that for Dishman Dodge.

I try to vote with my dollar when ever I can. I will continue to vote for Adam.

Does the new salesman know about the detailed warranties? I need to know the warranty on the regeneration system and the NOX filter. Is this 100,000 miles like the engine or 3/36 like the rest of the truck?????? Absolutely no one (including the Dodge website live chat or e-mail) has been able to specifically answer this question... ... ... .

Hi Mel,

I wouldn't say the "void" created by Adam's departure went unrecognized by any concerned parties.

Here is a sentence from an e-mail I received from the lady who owns Dishman Dodge, in response to my having written her to compliment the performance of both Adam and Josh:

"Thank you so much for your message! I am very proud of my employees, especially those you mentioned in your email. "

She/Dishman was very aware of the asset they had in Adam, ... and have moved to continue the same level of service with their choice of the sales person who will be serving TDR members in the future(Rob).

Time will tell, of course, whether or not Adam's standards will be matched ;)

Your shopping experience, and reasons for deciding to go with Adam/Dishman, as reported in your posts here at TDR, certainly influenced my own decision to consider them seriously, ... which led to my having similar experience and level of satisfaction.

Thank you, and those who followed with additional favorable reports, for working to make Adam/Dishman known to those of us who otherwise might not have thought to contact them.

It seems that you were Dishman's first "TDR" customer. :)

At the time of Adam's departure, he had quite a file of completed or working TDR-related sales. I think that your name was the first one on that list.

[ Private message from Adam indicates that his new home-base will be in the Portland, Oregon area. ]

Hi everyone,

Josh and I are diligently checking on the warranty for you. As soon as we get the right answer we'll post it - coming soon.

Rob Croswhite

Alright, here we go... I think i have found why it is so hard to get an answer out of anybody, because it is VERY unclear, but i will try to "unmuddy" the waters...

Per the owners manual in section 5. 2... the exhaust and all of its components are covered under the 5 year 50,000 mile warranty. my warranty clerk tells me this is what she would go by because it is what the customer is given with their vehicle.

However... ... ... ... .

I grabbed a couple of VIN's and part numbers of the exhaust system including catalysts, and had my warranty clerk look them up individually, and it says that the o2 sensors are 3/36,000, and the catalysts (including dpf) are 5/100,000.

so basically what i am getting at is that some service departments could be VERY ambiguous on this matter. however, we will honor the 5 year 50,000 warranty because this is what it states in the owner's manual (this is per my warranty clerk). i was unable to reach my chrysler rep. because he is on vacation this whole week (of course!!!).

when and if i get any new news, i will post accordingly.

I thought there was federal law that states emissions systems/ parts are to be warranteed for 5yrs/ 100,000 miles.

The federal law states (per dodge handbook) "federal law required Daimler Chrysler to warrant the following emissions parts for 5 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Then they go on to list all of the correlated parts (including exhaust components.

Wolfy

I can share with you that I've never noticed that I spelled Robs last name wrong... it is with one "s" as you say... . I stand corrected... . he's just in my cell phone as Rob - Dishman and always seems to get back to me... .

I have bought from Dave Smith... recently it was a new Jeep Grand Cherokee and its just simpler to give Rob a call or stop by to see him... .

He has worked hard to keep me from driving up the road...

Received some print outs from Adam and it shows Emissions as 60 mos, or 100,000 miles. ... . It also shows "extended Federal Emissions" as 60 or 50000..... If in fact the NOX and the particulate filters and regeneration systems are part of the Federal emission requirements, then they would in fact have to be covered on the 60 or 100,000... ... ... Does this sound correct? I have never seen a more uninformed group of people as the DC folks both through the website, the e- mail and the live chat. Not to mention the dealers. Pretty pathetic IMHO.
