Has anyone purchased the new Super Swamper TRXUS tire from Interco? They appear reasonably priced and currently come in four sizes including 255/85R-16 and 285/75R-16. How do they compare in strength to Interco's other products?

don't know about the new one... buuuuut the swampers are not known for mileage or load capasity. . have them [new siped ones] on my CJ7

Saw them in a recent ad in Four-Wheeler magazine. Went to their website at www.intercotire.com to check them out. Interco doesn't list much info (load rating ect) about them. Anyone do any bogging with their heavy Cummins?

I checked them out a couple of months ago. The tread looks pretty sweet and agressive. It would make a great winter tire. The dealer, Jim Dean Offroad in Elma, NY sounded optimistic on their longevity but said there is no way to know until they get out in circulation for a while. They are decently priced to. Plus I was there talking lights and when Jim say my truck he started talk up those tire big time. The only thing is interco is not known for quality tires. They make great off road tires but the construction of their tires and their quality control is questionable. If I remember correctly the load rating on them is pretty high.

I agree with Ted 100% on this:
"The only thing is interco is not known for quality tires. They make great off road tires but the construction of their tires and their quality control is questionable. "

Great tire for off the road, but terrible on the road. The one's I've dealt with needed a lot of weight to balance, that says something.

I had Swampers on a Cherokee and liked them very much. There was a lot of road hum and they didn't handle very well on pavement, but that's not what you buy Super Swampers for. If you want to go through serious mud, swampers are a good choice. If not, you're probably better off choosing something else.
I have just put 36 x 12. 5 x 16 Swamper Radials on my 2001. 5, but I won't be able to drive it for a few more months. Load rating is marginal, and I expect them to wear pretty quickly, but again, I wanted 36" tires with a very aggressive tread. I gather tires with a greater load capacity may be available soon. I'll report on my Swampers when my truck gets to me.
