2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission new tire pressures

i went from the stock size tires on my 96 to a slightly larger size. can anyone tell me what air pressure i should have in these tires. on inside door panel it recommends a certain tire psi,but my tires recommend almost double of what the door panel says. i want to optimize fuel mileage. will it be wrong to go close to the max psi of the new tire?

All depends on tire size, load you're hauling, etc. When I had 265's I ran 65 f & 55 r. Was fine not too hard riding and I rarely hauled anything. Now with the 305's I run 50 f & 40 r - rides nice - not real soft not hard at all. So it depends on the tires, rating etc. You would probably be OK starting with the recommended psi as a place to start.

The pressure on the tires are for max load,sure you can run it there but your tires will wear in the middle of the tread. I run 55 in front & 45 in the back & then put more in the back if I'm towing or hauling.
