I had to get new wheels cuz one broke, thats another story.

A few asked for pics & specs + I wanted to do a poll.

Tires are: 295/70R17E Toyo M/T 3970 LB rated @ 80 psi.

Wheels are: American Racing "Fuel-8" 17x8. 5 with 5 & 3/8" back space, +15mm offset.

Dunno what the load capacity is but they do have a lifetime structural warranty.

The poll. . Wheels ended up a little more bling seems like so to tone things down a little I was thinking of changing the body color flares to pocket style and Line-X them like this lifted one. Mine doesn't have a lift so not too sure if the girthy pocket style flares would look right but the tires seem pretty large to me anyway. What do you like?

edit. . after some measuring I see the new tires don't stick out as much as the old ones & wider flares wouldn't look right so maybe I should do the black Power Wagon flares. I have a flare coming loose that needs a remount so gotta take one off anyway.

I really like the Line-X look.

Ryan

Me too, but unless I lift it and go bigger on the tires I now see it won't look right cuz the the tires are already tucked under the flares I have. Maybe Power Wagon flares? OTOH my wheels stick out further than stock and this truck looks ok to me:

I found this place in Las Vegas that sells the Bushwackers already done up.

The first thing I do on the Pocket Style Flares is drill out the bolt holes slightly bigger than what comes from the factory. The Line-X will close the hole up about 1/16th of an inch so predrilling them makes for a perfect fit. Then we spray the Line-X on the flares, topcoat them for UV and stain resistance and then install the rubber gasket on them. This is the cleanest way to do it. A set of Bushwacker Pocket Style Flares would be $625. The Bushwacker Extend-a-Fender flares would be $575 (the Pocket Style is a little more expensive).

I think this is the same shop that did Punkineater's truck here:
