Just bought my 2007. 5 6. 7L 6 speed today from a dealer in Numine, Pa. I have had a CTD since 2003 but new to the 6. 7. Any tips, things to look out for, or any general truck info on them. Thanks

Just bought my 2008 CTD last month and heard all of the horror stories about them being in the shop and I regret to report that with only 1300 miles on it I got my first check engine light. :confused:Goes into the shop tuesday.

The check engine light hopefully is minor I also have a 08 and have had no problem's with it and I am working on 21,000 miles on it other then gettin curddy mpg theses truck's Rock enjoy em One thing I have learned is drive it like you stoled it and you and it will both be happy :)

I haven't really found all that many horror stories out there with the 08 model year trucks, it seems there are some annoying glitches but for the most part they are doing as well as can be expected. Every new model will have its issues, I think these will prove to be good trucks but time will tell.

When I picked mine up in March, the CEL came on 7 miles from the dealer on my way home. Turned around an went back, they thought they had it fixed and sent me home. I made it about 17 miles and it came back on. Called them and set up an appointment for the morning. Turned out to be a faulty O2 sensor, they filled me up with fuel for the trip home, ( I am 70 miles for the dealership ) and sent me on my way. I am at 7,000 miles now with out any sign of a glitch since.

Well I have 127,000 Km on my 2007 6. 7 and with the latest reflash AX there has been no CEL or any other code for the past 40,000 Km. I really like my 6. 7 and serves me well as a Hot Shot. I travel mostly the northern part of Alberta but have made a few trips as far South as Fort McCloud North to Fort McMurray and Peace River. All weather, day or night nothing stops a Cummins, except a moose or a bigger truck. LOL
