My wife and I are not far behind you. We are looking for houses in Yuma.

Not really a club that I know of. Buffalo use to get us together once a year or so but it fizzled as people could not get together on a date. There are TDR members around the state but people have other things on their schedules.

Had an idea but will need to check with the shop owner before moving forward ...

Was thinking of some of us diesel jocks meeting up in the parking lot of a local (Phx/Mesa) diesel performance shop maybe on a Sunday afternoon every few months. I'll need to ask him what his parking lot looks like on Sundays. If it's empty on Sundays, there's plenty of room.

Now is a good time of the year for it.

Sounds good to me!

A friend and I started a chapter in oc it lasted a few years we had something like a hundred members. We ran into issues of finding good places to gather. The parks were throwing us out for not having insurance and permits.I would bring the latest and greatest up grade parts, raffle off parts.I can't even remember how many Mag-hytec covers were taken home for a 10-20$ raffle ticket.Fuel plates and Edge boxes were big hits too.I think the wrench days were one of the favorite events we put on.I still have a pic of one of our flyers somewhere.
If you are serious about starting a chapter TDR may give you a mailing list of your chosen area to send out flyers.

Okay - I'll see if I can get the ball rolling.
I've secured a domain name for this and will roll it out when I have a home page built.

I will also start poking around to see if there is any interest with local businesses to participate from time to time.

Thanks for doing this. I've been a member here for 14 years and I've yet to meet a single TDR member in person. Strapt Performance may be interested in hosting but parking would be a pain. Just a thought.

New AZ Group Starting?

A domain name has been secured.
Once the site is set up, I'll probably create a Facebook page as well.

What I'd really like is maybe 2 other people to join me and form a "Steering Committee"...

Nobody interested in this?

With so much info available on the internet diesel get togethers have all but disappeared.Good luck looks like you have an uphill battle to make it happen. If you make it an official Tdr chapter.Robin Patton can help you put it together.Years back I put on a monthly seminars after hours at my dealership. We had vendors bringing door prizes and showing what they had to offer. We offered discounts on parts for the diy guys and service specials for all in attendance. We averaged 50 trucks per event untill the insurance company found out and shut me down.We went on to form the SoCal Rattling Rams(Tdr chapter)That had a pretty good run.We put on the biggest Tdr event (show) that I have seen in California with help from Chrysler and Tdr.

Good times Bob!

Last to run, but, beat out a #4 to run 2nd Gen Stock 1997 7.3 Ford. :D

The 6.2 NA precups were holding me back on that build. Turned fuel into smoke no matter what after a certain amount IMO due to the speeds from the small precup opening centrifugally separating the charge.

Regardless it was a fun day and I had everyone running for their lives when I blew the turbo boot off at 24PSI during my last pull. Sleeper Suburban...
