I don't know a lot about diesels. Could someone please tell me the difference between a 2003 Cummins LO vs. HO. Any information would be great. Thanks a lot.
Do a search for GENO'S then look for buyer's guide you can download it or just read it it talks about all the yrs & models and just watch here you'll get a lot of answers.
The standard output engine is a derated version of the high-output engine. The change involves mostly programming, but the piston cooling nozzles are also different: they're larger/more efficient on the HO.
I don't remember what the HP/Torque ratings are for the SO engines... something like 270 hp/505 torque. HO engines are 305 hp/555 torque.
