Hi all,

If this has been discussed please show me where. I used the forum search and couldn't find anything similar and I am looking for help or an explanation.

I have a 2012 ram 2500 and using an edge insight with an OBD2 splitter connected to my csp5 switch. What I am wanting to know is does the insight cause issues with EFI LIVE? To me it feels like when my edge is disconnected the trucks runs differently than when both are going to the OBD2. So im not sure if there is a signal loss or something.

My understanding is that with my Auto-cal I load the 1 tune containing my 5 power levels to the ECM and the switch basically tells the ecm to "hey use this level" and I feel that the signal is getting distorted or whatever. If im losing it please tell me. I work 70 hours a week and school for 24 so losing it is entirely possible lol.

Thank you all for the future help

First the csp5 chooses from 5 tunes, and the AutoCal downloads the 5 tunes. Are you keeping the AutoCal plugged in at the same time? You don't need the AutoCal plugged in to use the tunes, because it's only a downloading tool. You can see the different parameters in real time if it's plugged in but your ensight probably won't work while it's plugged in. Talk to your tuner that sold it to you. I know my Kiwi Wifi doesn't work when the AutoCal is plugged in next to it.

RVTRKN,

I got my tune emailed to me. I loaded the tune to my autocal, then flashed the truck and put the autocal back in the box under the seat. Then using the CSP5 with Pass through switch connected my edge insight to the csp5 and then the OBD2. I am just wondering if maybe because the edge is a constant monitoring system that the switch is getting interference when switching the levels?

As of 11pm last night i took my csp5 off the obd2 and disconnected the edge. I then connected only the csp5 and chose the level i wanted (3-100hp performance daily) and then disconnected it and reconnected my edge. So far this has helped stop my edge from locking at the loading gauges page or at the insight cts logo page.

Only down side is having to unplug edge with driving to switch levels but I dont street race so not really a bother. stays on lvl3 95% of the time.

I dont know if anyone else has experience anything like this before.
