New to me "03

I just drove my new truck home from the border today. I have a few things that need to be looked after. It only has one key and I would like to have at least two more. Can I go anywhere to get a key or do I have to go to Dodge and get one. The truck is an SLT. Is keyless entry an option or standard? Is it hard to add or expensive? The truck does not have the fold flat floor in the quad cab and I really would like to have it. Where is the best place to get it? The truck had a grill guard on it but the dealer took it off before they put it on the lot so I am missing my tow hooks and would like some. Where should I guy look for them? I have a smarty junior to look after the performance but I'll need guages and mounting pod, suggestions? I'll put some timbrens on as its a 2500. I'm going to change oil in the transmission and put a filter on it when I change the rest of the fluids. Some nerf bars and maybe a FASS and airbox mod and the mods should be done, for a while.



Sorry about the long post, I'm working nights until the 22nd and have to get a federal saftey inspection before I start on her so it kind of sucks. Oh well I haven't sold my '97 yet. It's still a blast to drive but I can't wait to try the Smarty out.

What color key do you have? If black, you can go anywhere to get one made. If gray, it is the Sentry key. I got mine off E-Bay for about $5 apiece. But with only one, you will have to get the dealer to program them for you.



I think keyless was an option. It would probably be cheaper to put an alarm with remotes on the truck.



I'd try a salvage yard for the fold flat floor and tow hooks. Be cheaper there.

I have a black key so that is good I can get a couple made up cheap. I guess I might have to do without keyless entry or put an aftermarket one on. Its just handy to have. I'll try a salvage yard for the fold flat floor and the tow hooks.

You may already have a keyless entry system on your truck. You stated you only had one key, possibly the other key along with the original key fobs have been lost.



Have a dealer run your vin, to see what options it came with.
