I'm the proud new owner of a 2004 2500 4 door with 115K. I'm going to use it to tow my track car to events in southeast. I'm pretty excited about owning my first diesel. Anyway some input would be appreciated by those more experienced. I was planning on doing the following maintenance:

Shocks – I’m going to go with Bilstein HD’s

Oil service – FLEETGUARD STRATAPORE Filter and Valvoline blue oil.

Coolant service – Drain and refill, special HOAT formulation. Is there a need to bleed the system of air?

Brake Service – rotors, pads and flush. I was planning on using a pressure bleeder with Ate super 200 gold brake fluid. Any issues with that?

Serpentine belt – Should the tensioner be replaced to?

Fuel Filter – The truck came with a FASS set up. How do I figure which one I have and could someone direct me where to find instructions on how to use it?

Trans – Previous owner just serviced it.

Is there anything I missed?

I’m planning to get the majority of parts from Geno’s but can someone recommend a stock parts place that has the best prices for bits that Geno’s doesn’t carry? I need the top of the stock air box because it’s got a dirty cone filter in it right now.

Also, I bought the Mopar service manual but it doesn’t have a parts number listing. I have this one for my old BMW, does Mopar have anything like this? Oil pan/oil level indicator BMW 3' E46, M3 (S54) — BMW parts catalog

Thanks in advance for the help!~

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new truck.
You'll like those Bilstiens and no need to burp the cooling system but if you fill it through the thermostat housing it makes it easier to top off and theres an o-ring so no gasket to replace. I would check the tensioner for looseness and bearing failure.
Does the FASS have filters on it?

Didn't think of the thermostat. Probably replace that too...

Yes, there's filters on it. Are the part numbers on it?

Change the differential(s) fluid replacing with synthetic gear lube, replace the air filter, and replace the coolant hoses while you're at it. They are probably original and five or six year old.

Save Big @ Mopar4Less.com!! - Full Line Of Mopar Parts - is a good source of MOPAR parts. MOPAR4Less is actually Advantage Chrysler/Dodge in Farmington, NM, good folks. There are a couple of others who specialize in internet service you can compare prices with.

Coolant hoses, good call. Thanks for the website!

Appreciate the help

does the fass pump have one filter and a water/fuel sep. or does the fass pump just have one filter/fuel/water sep. all in one spin on?
