Just traded my Edge for a Smarty POD. So far i love it and don't think i would ever go back. I am set on SW7 with everything default for now and POD 84. With the EDGE on any of the higher levels such as 4 5 or 6 my flywheel used to slip instantly. Since the power comes on gradually with Smarty, i am able to achieve a higher horsepower without slipping at all. Once i found my slip point i backed away a bit on my POD setting and its been perfect to say the least. The truck also seems to idle and accelerate much much smoother. I cannot get my EGT,s above 1000. With the Ege i was able to achieve 1300 without a problem. It also seems to be a bit easier on the drive train as oppose to the Edge. Once my fuel pump and clutch are in i will do some tuning. I think Smarty and I will have a long and prosperous future ahead of us. Thanks for reading. Here are some pics. of my install:

Thanks J. I figured it would be the best way to take advantage of the POD feature. I made it so that i could easily pull the Smarty off of the snake stand to take it out of the truck if needed especialy in the cold winter months. I am using the Edge insight for gauges right now until i have some time to install my mechanical gauges. (if someone is interested i need to buy some gauges shoot me a PM) I bought an OBD port splitter and removed the factory plug from the metal bracket under the dash. Connected the Insight and Smarty to the splitter and zip-tied it together under the dash. I really love the Smarty. It is awasome. The smoke is also very controlable with the go pedal and the right gear selection.

Good job, thinking out of the box. And to really use the PoD feature you need the Smarty plugged in and within reach.

I mounted mine off of my CB with a universal mount kit.

Very nice and clean. I guess we think alike in some respect. I was looking at that exact kit at radio shack and had it in my hand walking to the counter when i passed by the microphone snake stand and the rest is history. Looks great. Your drivers seat looks like a cocpit. I love it. I actually have a lot of the things you do and coincidentaly in the same spots.

"Great Minds Think Alike" LOL.

Fit, function and symmetry play into my decisions. I like to keep things in easy view and reach, but not in the way. Also like to keep things off the dash as much as possible. The 3rd gens are a challenge. Since that picture I have added an MP-8 switch mounted on the side of the steering column right gauge, switch panel under the steering wheel for Nitrous ARM, Nitrous Purge and BOV disable. The P3 brake controller when needed mounts under the dash under the lighter plug and the TC lock switch comes up between the seat and center console. I removed the button on top of the 4x4 shifter for the mini air horns, they are now the horn.
