2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission New to me...

My first diesel. I purchased a 97 2500 4x4 w/108k after lurking about this site for a while. What a great source of info this board is. Of course I have a few questions. The PO straight piped the truck. Is there any way to tell if any other mods were done? The tach sometimes goes to bouncing around. Bad connection or sensor or... ? I think the truck has a slight lift on it. Can I run 305s?

Anyway, the gauges are ordered and the KDP will be fixed this week. The best mod anyone could do would be to subscribe to TDR.
