New to the diesel scene .....

and I'm glad I found this website.



Just bought my first diesel 1 1/2 months ago and all can say is "I Love It!!!!!!" Oo.



Have been a Dodge man all my life.



I had to convince her to let me buy the Cummins, she said that they were too loud and that they sound like cement mixers.



She was used to hearing the 2nd gen engines and had never heard the newer ones. Once she heard the '05 and we went for a test ride, she changed her mind rather quick.



Now, me I like the sound of the older diesels.



I will probably be doing some minor BOMBing in the future and will probably be asking a lot of newb questions.



Definitely planning on getting some gauges first. But, that will have to wait till we move to our new house where I will have an actual garage to work on the truck myself. No more parking lot maintenance for me!

Yep! same story here, I started out looking at the 2nd gens myself,I also like the diesel rattle,but once we test drove the 3rd gen it was all over. She said if you get one it's gotta be a 3rd gen, I like those.

That is the sam estory with me as well, like the quit one. She drives it most of the time anyway. Now she wants bigger tires. It is not all that bad
