New to the fold

Greetings Gents (& Ladies, I hope),

Last summer, I became the proud father of a bouncing 6000 lb baby. I got it to primarily use as an RV with the pop-up camper. The reason I selected the Cummins-Ram was:
1. Engine should last forever,
2. Good fuel economy,
3. I wanted something with a solid front axle,
4. I liked the tall stance of the Ram, for some off-roading, and so I could look down (literally) on Chevs & Fords.

So far, I've done two 6000+ mile trips and everything is working well. I've been averaging 19-20 mpg (very happy with this).
The only failure I've had so far (at 1000 miles) is the infamous centre console hinge tab failure. Dealer replaced console after only two attempts. I've smeared it in vaseline, and everything is OK so far.

I've been reading this site for the last 6 months, and finally decided to become a card carrying member. This has to be the most massively useful site on the internet. My congratulations to the moderators and all others who make it so.
