Wish I had camera... Honda Ridgeline "truck"

Illegal but, what the heck...

I have an 05 dodge 3500 diesel 4x4 single rear wheel automatic trans.

I just installed a new trailor brake switch .

I went to a dodge dealor an picked up the wiring pig tail that plugs into your brake switch and wired them together and plugged it into the brake switch under the dash but it still is not working .

Is there a fuse to be installed also or what ?

What am I forgetting or missing now?:confused

In the under hood fuse box, you will need to install a 30 amp fuse for the trailer brakes and the trailer hot lead.

What brake controller are you using? Some of them are not just a "blue to blue", "red to red" kind of hookup. If you have the above-mentioned fuse, check your wiring pairs.

My cousin is an jet-engine mechanic and he helped me figure mine out.

Good luck... ... Steve

If your truck had a tow package its plug and play... . go to the trailer connector on the back of the truck and see if you have 12 V to the battery charge circuit... . if you have a dodge installed plug its marked on the cover... once you know your test light works you can check the rest...

If your getting power to the connector, the longer your foot is on the brake the brighter the light should be... or if someone pushes the brake controller lever it should get brighter...

If all the above work than its a trailer issue... .
